Season 2026–2027
At IRGA, we provide a structured environment where every child can develop through rhythmic gymnastics according to her age, experience and objectives, from first discovery of the sport to high-performance competitive training.
Our methodology is based on a clear progression pathway that combines physical development, technical learning, discipline and enjoyment of sport.
All training sessions are conducted at:
Route de Berne 301, 1000 Lausanne
(EHL Campus – Sports Facilities)
Program Structure
IRGA is organized around two complementary development pathways:
Recreational Pathway
Initiation & Loisirs
A structured introduction to rhythmic gymnastics focused on physical development, coordination, flexibility and the discovery of the sport in a positive and motivating environment.
Competitive Pathway
Performance & Elite Training
A progressive training system for gymnasts who wish to train more intensively, develop advanced technical skills and participate in regional, national and international competitions.
Initiation & Loisirs
The Initiation & Loisirs program introduces children to rhythmic gymnastics through a progressive and structured methodology designed to develop coordination, flexibility, strength and confidence.
The program supports both general sports participation and the early foundations of rhythmic gymnastics, in a motivating and age-appropriate environment.
A key feature of the program is its flexibility: families may choose the training frequency according to the child’s needs and objectives, from light recreational activity to more structured and progressive engagement.
All programs include progressive work with rhythmic gymnastics apparatus: rope, hoop, and ball.
Enfantines
Children born between 2020 and 2023
- Training duration: 45 - 60 minutes
- Frequency: 1 - 2 sessions per week
This program introduces young children to rhythmic gymnastics through playful and structured activities aimed at developing coordination, motor skills, flexibility and general physical awareness.
Children build the foundations of movement, develop basic strength and mobility, and gain confidence in a positive group environment.
Basic rhythmic gymnastics apparatus work is introduced progressively with the rope, hoop and ball.
Kids
Children born between 2017 and 2019
- Training duration: 90 minutes
- Frequency: 1 - 3 sessions per week
One weekly session supports healthy physical activity, enjoyment of sport and harmonious development.
Two to three weekly sessions allow for more structured progression, stronger technical foundations and better preparation for future entry into the competitive pathway.
Training focuses on flexibility, coordination, posture, strength development, and structured introduction to rhythmic gymnastics technique.
Work with rhythmic gymnastics apparatus (rope, hoop and ball) is integrated progressively into training.
Loisirs
Children born in 2016 and older
This group is designed for older children discovering rhythmic gymnastics for the first time and wishing to explore the sport in a structured and supportive environment.
- Training duration: 90 minutes
- Frequency: 1 - 2 sessions per week
The program allows participants to develop flexibility, coordination, basic technical skills and confidence through regular practice adapted to their level and objectives.
Rhythmic gymnastics apparatus work with the rope, hoop and ball is included and adapted to the experience of each gymnast.
